Interested in volunteering at The Kickstand? We need your help!

As you may already know, we struggle to make it through the summer months and are always in great need of volunteers. Whether you are interested in participating in the bicycle shop, the venue, various Kickstand events, or general maintenance and organization of the shop as a whole, we welcome your involvement. To get started, email us with your name, contact information, availability, and the area(s) you are interested in helping out with. Or, come share your ideas, learn more about how we operate, and work on ongoing Kickstand projects by attending one of our weekly volunteer meetings, Thursdays at 6pm in the shop, located at 722 S Main Street. With your support we can further strengthen our commitment to provide inexpensive bicycle-related services to the Gainesville community, being better equipped and with more stability than before.

Volunteer at The Kickstand during FEST 8!

As many of you know, The Kickstand raises most of its money for rent, tools, and projects by opening our space as a live music venue. For the second year in a row we are also a venue for The Fest, which is held Halloween weekend. www.thefestfl.com

This event brings hundreds of people from all over the world (literally!) to our space and WE NEED YOUR HELP!!

We’ll need people to check ID’s at the gate, sell snacks and drinks at the concession stand, sell merchandise, coordinate with Fest staff and bands, and generally make sure people have a fun but safe time while at our venue.
